ā€œRue de Kikiā€ Open for Dancing, Partying on Bastille Day

Shia Kapos’ gets Rich Melmans’ take on Kiki’s 40th Anniversary and the “Rue de Kiki” honors.

July 14th is Bastille Day and, Georges ā€œKikiā€ Cuisance, owner and founder of Kiki’s Bistro, 900 N. Franklin St., in Chicago has sponsored a variety of celebrations over the 20 years his restaurant has been at this location.

To mark the 20th anniversary of Kiki’s Bistro’s River North location, there will be an official street naming ceremony as the corner of Franklin and Locust gets the honorary name, ā€œRue de Kiki.” There will be dancing in the streets, a la Paris, with music by Claudia Hommel and Francophiles and others looking for excellent cuisine and company, can celebrate on the 14th of July (France’s Independence Day) ā€œBal du 14 Juilletā€Ā  at a Bastille Day Fest from 6 – 10 p.m. at Kiki’s (PLEASE NOTE: Reservations are required for indoor restaurant and outdoor terrace dining at KIKI’S BISTRO.)

This event is being hosted by L’Union des Francais de l’Etranger de Chicago (UFEC), Les Francais du Monde-ADFE and Francophone Professional Group (G.P.F) and Alliance Francaise of DuPage County.

Kiki’s Bistro, enjoys an international reputation for its classic French bistro fare and comfortable atmosphere. The restaurant is one of the city’s finest dining establishments and is a favorite to dignitaries and rock stars alike.
