Here's what Isla's food truck looks like in its new location.

“We are beyond excited to serve the community we call home,” said Cristina Ayala, Isla de Café owner.

“Our food and drinks selections are our way of showing gratitude and service to Humboldt Park’s regular visitors and the hundreds of thousands that we hope to see during this week’s Fiestas Puertorriqueñas.”

This food vehicle serves more than 35 menu items,  Puerto Rican-infused foods and beverages, for Humboldt Park residents and visitors– near the North and Kedzie side of the park.

No need to stand, because the Isla de Café is equipped with patio chairs. They feature rumba music on their radio. The café is open daily, year round, from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., and is located near the intersection of North Avenue and Kedzie Avenue.

The Isla de Café opened in June 2011. The food truck vendor serves premium select coffees, teas, batidas, juices, pastries and sandwiches. A full menu can be found on the company’s Facebook page: http://ow.ly/5hTeo.
