Chicago residents gathered Tuesday in the South Loop to protest killings of civilians by police officers. The protest was part of the #ShutDownA14 movement called for last week by Princeton professor Cornel West and other black leaders of the Stop Mass Incarceration Network. They called for people to take to the streets to draw attention to the controversial police shootings of unarmed black men.
