Suzanne McBride and Barbara Iverson, faculty members in the Journalism Department at Columbia College Chicago, serve as co-publishers of ChicagoTalks.org. We welcome your communication and comments, but most of all, we look forward to publishing your stories, pictures, links and other media that will help us share what’s going on in your part of Chicago.

ChicagoTalks.org is a non-profit, local news source for Chicago and its many neighborhoods. Our stories come from all corners of the city; our reporters are young journalists learning to cover their communities and others who want to make sure the many uncovered stories get told. http://chicagotalks.org

We’re thankful for the support we’ve received from Columbia College Chicago and J-Lab: The Institute for Interactive Journalism. We’re looking to make connections with local businesses, foundations and other groups to expand our social network and online community in ways that support community-building and democracy.
