How to: Slideshows for Chicagotalks
Wordpress gallery is not an impressive photo display tool, and it is awful with comments. When you have a series of photos for a story, use one of these apps to create a slideshow that you can embed in our publications.
Create and then upload the slideshow URL to CT or AT:
1. Sliderocket
2. Slideshare
3. Youtube
4. Vimeo
Each of these have pros and cons, you can try them out.
Another very unusual app I use because it creates horizontal sliders is vuvox. It is a bit more “arty” than the others, but it makes a good looking show. It is one of the only horizontal sliders I know of.
