Interview with a Serial Entrepreneur

Barbara K. Iverson’s Mobile Journalism (53-3518-01) class hosted Mr. Simeon Schnapper, a graduate of Columbia College Chicago for a session on what an entrepreneur does, and what it takes to be an entrepreneur. Mr. Schnapper is a serial entrepreneur, whose most recent venture is Youtopia.com , a learning management application that uses badges and gamification to keep track of achievement and progress. Students posted in real-time, tweeted, recorded audio snippets, and added photos to enhance the Q & A with Mr. Schnapper. Some video and longer audio segments have been added after the fact. We were concerned that live streaming might slow the interactivity during the session down. We had several visitors from off-campus join us during our livecast.
